Newtown’s hopes of European football this Summer depend on The New Saints completing a JD Cymru Premier and Welsh Cup double.
The Robins brought the curtain down on a successful season at Flint yesterday – denied victory by a 90th minute equaliser – to end the campaign in third place.
Now Manager Chris Hughes and hi side must await the outcome of next week’s Welsh Cup Final result between The New Saints and Penybont. A win for the Park Hall side will give Wales an extra place in Europe and that will go to Newtown for their third place finish.
Aaron Williams looked to have give Newtown all three points but Andy Jones popped up for Flint in the 90th minute to secure a draw.
