Brave Robins beaten by Saints

Newtown put up a brave fight but went down 2-0 to The New Saints in the JD Cymru League tonight.

A 60^th minute header from Declan McManus and a 78^th minute strike from Ashley Baker was enough to keep The New Saints clear at the top.

Fumpa Mwandwe went closest for the Robins, seeing a second half effort drop on top of the bar with Harrison beaten while at the other end goalkeeper Dave Jones performed heroics to keep Newtown in the game.
