Berriew beaten at Mach

Berriew suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat in the Lock Stock Ardal North East League at Machynlleth last night.

Berriew led after 12 minutes at Machynlleth through Joe Haycock but Daniel Green had the home side level before the break.Richard Evans then put Mach ahead on the hour and Dillon Browne put the game to bed on 76 minutes.

Two first half goals gave Welshpool three points against Dolgellau.

Ryan Knott gave Pool the lead on 22 minutes cutting in from the left to slide the ball under visiting keeper Darren Andrews and five minutes later Ricky Lichfield casually slotted in from the penalty spot.

There were no further goals in a bruising second half which saw Dolgellau’s Gethin Evans see red just before the final whistle,
