Carno trounced by Welshpool

Carno were trounced 7-1 by Welshpool in the General Tire Montgomeryshire Cup last night.

Unpredictable Pool led 4-0 at the break thanks toJames Clewlow, a brace from Ricky Litchfield and an Ethan Kinsey strike but supporters were nervous due to their side’s habit of throwing away leads, particularly when Joe Morris started the second half with a reply for Carno.

But Ryan Edwards soon made in 5-1 and further goals from Joshua Lenc saw Welshpool safely through to the next round.
