There were mixed fortunes for local clubs yesterday with Llanidloes crashing at home and Caersws winning on the road.
The Daffs crashed 6-2 at home to Airbus in the JD Cymru North and were 4-0 at half time thanks to strikes from Davies (2), Cornish and Peers.
Boundford set-up Bird for a 56th minute response but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Peers netted again and Davies completed his hattrick. Carruthers netted a consolation goal for the home side.
Caersws were in FAW Amateur Cup action and won 3-0 at Menai Bridge Tigers, thanks to strikes from Davies, Evans and Mitchell.
There was a shocking day for Newtown Wanderers who went down 10-1 at home to an impressive Brecon Corries in the MMP Mid Wales League East.
