Welshpool Town grabbed the bragging rights in a local derby at Berriew in the Ardal North East League last night.

Pool came from behind twice to win a seven goal thriller 4-3 with two goals each from James Clewlow and Ricky Litchfield. Jack Williams, Richard Davies and William Morgan were on target for Berriew.

Four Crosses earned a 1-1 draw at home to Penycae. Jordan Gerrard's 20th minute strike separated the sides at the break as Crosses led only for the visitors to claim a point through Ryan Jones' penalty on the hour.

Tom Ellis led Waterloo Rovers' comeback in a 4-1 win at Churchstoke who led at the break through Shane Morgan in the MMP Mid Wales League West. Rovers hit back after the break with Ellis netting twice and missing a penalty before Jake Mann and Adam Gough goals completed the victory.

Ryan Edwards netted a hat-trick as Montgomery Town won 3-2 winners at Llanfyllin Town who replied with goals from Lee Morris and Liam Pickstock.

Darryl Jones snatched a late winner as Forden United snatched a 4-3 win at home to Llansantffraid. All the action came in the second-half as goals from Jake O'Donnell and Alex Morgan gave the hosts the lead before Ryan Broadbent reduced the arrears.

David Roberts restored United's two goal cushion only for the Saints to storm back through Dale Evans and a second from Broadbent. United were not to be denied and Jones won the day with three minutes remaining.

Guilsfield booked their place in the second round of the General Tyres Montgomeryshire Cup with Jamie Hyne, Callum Bromley and George Clifton completing a 3-0 win at home to Dyffryn Banw.
