Chris sets new TT record

Chris Horsfield set a new course record on Hafren Cycling Club's latest time trial last night (Wednesday).

He made it around the 25 mile route from Newtown to Llanidloes and back in under an hour (57.43 mins) as 29 members of the club participated in the club's latest TT.

He was followed by Stephen Owen (58.22), Medwyn Jones (58.29), David Gethin 1:01.34, and Max Gethin 1:02.45 (full results can be found at www.hafrencc.com).

The club is near the end of its TT season and the next few time trials look set to provide a tight contest. The club also hosts weekly ride-outs from Newtown as well as monthly ones from Welshpool and Llanidloes. The club will meet at The Flash Leisure Centre at 9.30am on Sunday.
