Spar League rocked by withdrawal

The Spar Division One has been rocked by today’s decision from coastal side Penparcau to withdraw from the league.
 
The club, which won the league just two seasons ago, has been struggling following the departure of a number of players, leaving them with no choice but to call it a day.
 
League secretary Phil Woosnam said: “The League will once again run with 15 clubs with obviously Presteigne being the main sufferers as a result of this late decision as they have already been relegated. A number of the original fixtures have had to be changed."
