Newtown got their JD Cymru League campaign back on track with a 2-0 win over Penybont at Latham Park on Tuesday night

Manager Chris Hughes welcomed back Shane Sutton, Alex Fletcher and Callum Roberts as January window signings with all three slotting back in seamlessly.

Tyrone Ofori missed an early penalty but he made amends 10 minutes later when he glanced in a header following smart work on the right by Craig Williams.

Newtown looked comfortable and it was no surprise when James Davies headed in a second on 63 minutes to double the lead.
