Robins take the points

Two goals in two minutes in the second half saw Newtown win three valuable points in the JD Cymru League this afternoon.

Nick Rushton grabbed a 78^th minute equaliser with an amazing header from the edge of the box before substitute Tyrone Ofori popped in a 7oth minute winner for the Robins.

Flint went ahead in just the 11^th minute through Bratley at a rainswept Latham Park but Newtown were level when Neil Mitchell’s speculative cross somehow finished in the back of the net.

Flint were back in front on 57 minutes through Foulkes but the arrival of Ofori and Matthew Williams for Mitchell and Jamie Breese on 65 minutes changed the game Newtown’s way.

The win took the Robins out of the bottom three.
