Newtown were made to pay for missed chances as Bala scored a goal late in each half to inflict a 2-0 defeat on the Robins in the JD Cymru Premier on Sunday.
Nathan Peate headed in on the stroke of half-time to give the visitors a lead, and then Chris Venables bagged a second five minutes from time to secure the win.
Newtown finished with 10-men after George Hughes was shown a second yellow in the closing stages.
Robins boss Chris Hughes said: “At the moment things aren’t falling for us but we’ll stick at it.”
