Newtown’s tough Premier League season continued when Bomere Heath pace bowler Chris Stevens wreaked havoc on the Montgomeryshire men’s batting line up at the weekend.
 
Stevens took figures of 7-54 off 16 sizzling overs as Newtown limped to 102 all out with only opener Steve Davies (44) managing to get to grips with the onslaught.
 
In reply, opener Charlie Wigley scored a classy unbeaten 50 to see Bomere home despite the best efforts of captain Tony Springer (pictured) who claimed three of the five wickets.
