Cricket fixtures released
Local teams will be playing friendlies this weekend ahead of the delayed launch of our local summer of cricket next week.
Newtown and Montgomery will be holding inter-club matches, while Welshpool make the short trip to Guilsfield and Llanidloes welcome Aberystwyth Commoners for a two innings friendly.
The Henshalls Shropshire Cricket League has rejigged its divisions, which were due to start in April, but with Covid-19 easing in the border area the green light has been given to finally start on July 25.
Newtown and Montgomery will compete in shortened versions of their divisions one and two, while Welshpool, Guilsfield & Llandrinio, Montgomery II, Newtown II Llanidloes and Bishop’s Castle make up an interesting looking Wales and West Division.
All games start at 12pm, 80 over max and Win/Lose Format
