Division Two up to full strength

 

The Montgomeryshire club had stalled on its return to the Mid Wales League and left it in the hands of the players to decide and the verdict was a resounding yes at the annual meeting.

 

League secretary Phil Woosnam confirmed: “After a club AGM, Machynlleth Secretary John Williams confirmed that his club were entering the Spar League Two for next season, bringing that League also up to its maximum quota of teams.

“Aberdyfi and Knighton were confirmed as new members at the league’s AGM last Tuesday and the league will now be up to its maximum capacity in only its second season.”

 

Last season Montgomery won the inaugural Division Two championship and has stepped up to Division One in place of relegated Presteigne.
