Club’s appeal for help

After three weeks of storms and heavy flooding, Caersws are one of the many sports clubs in the area preparing to clear up over the coming days, and they have appealed for help.

The sporting calendar has been decimated in February with storms Dennis and Ciara followed up by more torrential rain last weekend.

The Bluebirds’ famous pitch is on the banks of the River Severn (pictured) and is a victim of heavy rain most winters, but this month’s has been excessive.

“After the recent weeks of bad weather if anyone has any spare time to help our volunteers with the big clean up down the rec please get in touch, any help would be very much appreciated,” said a spokesperson.
