Newtown got off to a flying start in the second half of the Welsh Premier League season last night – winning 2-1 at TNS.
The New Saints top the table and were looking for three points in their bid to stay clear of closest rival Connah’s Quay but the Robins had other ideas.
All the goals came in a 15 minute spell in the first half.
Alex Fletcher gave Newtown a sixth minute lead but Adrian Cieslewicz levelled on 16 minutes and the scene looked set for the Oswestry side to take charge.
Bur Lufumpa Mwandwe had other ideas winning the game for the Robins with a 21st minute winner.
