Pitch inspections galore

13/12/2019 @ 05:51

While clubs across the area will be holding morning pitch inspections before games go ahead, Newtown can be virtually guaranteed a match as they host Carmarthen Town on their plush all-weather surface in the JD Welsh Premier.

Back-to-back league and Welsh Cup victories over Barry Town have made The Robins buoyant going into the final games of the league’s first phase with them eager to book a top six spot for the New Year.

They are currently eighth, but only three points behind Cefn Druids in sixth.

Meanwhile, The Robins have been drawn to meet Rhyl in the fourth round of the Welsh Cup.

An 8.30am pitch inspection will decide whether Llanrhaeadr’s match with Guilsfield will go ahead in the JD Cymru North.

It will be the same scenario across the leagues with more rain expected to fall overnight.
