Caersws, Berriew go through

Caersws and Berriew have booked their places tonight for the third round of the MMP Mid Wales League Cup.

Caersws were 3-0 winners at Machynlleth while Berriew manager Dave Jones put one over his former team, Welshpool Town, with a 2-0 win.

In the JD Cymru North, Guilsfield held runaway leaders Prestatyn to a 1-1 draw on a bitterly cold evening in the village.

There’s a big day of action on Saturday with Newtown heading to Barry Town in the JD Cymru Premier and both Llanfair United and Llanrhaeadr hitting the road on the JD Cymru North.
