It’s a full roster of fixtures this weekend as Gary Williams, from Oval Zone Rugby, looks ahead to what’s in store.
Welshpool, still smarting after last Saturday's home defeat against Shotton, make the journey to take on Teirw Nant.
Nant Conwy's second team have admirably adapted to life amongst the top teams of Division Two North and are now a threat to the established front runners in this division.
Welshpool will have to be at their best to pick up points but, if at full strength, are capable of giving anybody a game in this league.
Newtown, with just one win under their belts this campaign, will be confident of adding to that tally when bottom club, Abergele, visit The Rec. Next up for Newtown after this game is the big Mid Wales derby at Welshpool, so they will be hoping to head in to that game on the back of a convincing performance against Abergele this weekend.
It is the turn of Llanidloes to have the 'free' Saturday in this division due to the odd number of teams and, following their lack of numbers and postponement against Wrexham last week, will probably be glad of a week without a fixture to regroup before their next fixture, away at unbeaten Rhyl.
In Division One North, COBRA are back in action in what is virtually a 'derby' as they travel over the mountain to Bala who have had an erratic start to the season. The Meifod boys know that every game and every point is vital and they will have to have full concentration and the bounce of the ball if they are to come back with points.
On Sunday, COBRA Ladies host Llangollen Ladies and will be hoping to continue with their unbeaten, winning run. Their next game will be away to title favourites, Caernarfon on November 10th.
Also on Sunday, Welshpool's Mini section take on Newtown's Mini section with a 12 noon kick off. Hopefully you will have, by then, seen Wales secure their place in the World Cup Final, so why not head down to the Maesydre and take a look at what might be some of the next generation of rugby stars.
