With COBRA having switched their scheduled game against Dolgellau (winning 20-15) to midweek and Welshpool having a free weekend due to having an odd number of teams in Division Two North, we are left with a mouth-watering Mid Wales derby clash between Llanidloes and Newtown.
Llanidloes will still be smarting after last weekend’s 81-0 thumping at Teirw Nant, whilst Newtown will be hoping that their heavy 3-52 home defeat against Mold was just an unwelcome blip in a season in which they hold high hopes of being amongst the promotion contenders.
Llani travelled to Nant Conwy last weekend under-strength but you can be sure that they'll be chomping at the bit come Saturday to not only earn local bragging rights but also to get some points on the league table.
Newtown will hope to put last week's disastrous start behind them and we have the makings of another classic Mid Wales derby.
