Bellerby the history maker

Katie Bellerby has become the first female darts player in the history of the Newtown Premier League to take one of its titles.

The county player teamed up with Chris Hurds to win the NPL Pairs, having come through their group unbeaten, and then remaining unbeaten all the way to the title.

The pair beat Ewan Jones and Adam Joseph 4-3 in the last four before overcoming Neil Astley and Garry Jones, who had beaten Mitch Butler and Dave Boyle, in the final, 4-1.
