Long-serving Newtown defender Craig Williams has been appointed Head of Coaching.
The full back has over 400 appearances for the Robins under his belt and his appointment follows the news that Gavin Cadwallader has left the club to take up a business appointment.
Williams, who had a spell with Aberystwyth Town, has emerged as one of the Welsh Premier League’s outstanding defender since his 2004 debut.
The Robins will need to strengthen their strike force ahead of the new season. With Luke Boundford leaving last week Porya Rio Ahmadi has now returned to Aberywtyth Town after being with Newtown since January.
Newtown officials have also revealed that Shrewsbury Town will play a pre-season game at Latham Park on July 13 with a 2-30pm kick-off.
