Parry sets new course record

Young Connor Parry produced an exhilarating round of golf, carding a three-under 65 to set a new course record.

 

The round saw the eight-handicapper return an amazing 47 points to take top spot in the weekend’s U20-handicap shield by some margin.

 

The other podium positions were a bit closer with Charlie Brown (14) carding 43 points, edging Past Captain Gary McKay (12) into 3rd with 42.

 

The 20+ handicap shield saw the fast improving Garry Jones (27) take top spot with 42 points, with past Ladies Captain Sandy Knight (26) returning 39, pushing current Ladies Captain Sandra Davies (25) into 3rd on the countback.

 

Last week’s summer league produced the following results:

Nett League: 1st Clifford Pryce (24) 21 points; 2nd Phil Lewis (19) 21 points; 3rd Pete Philpott (28) 21 points.

Gross League: 1st Joe Davies 16 stableford points; 2nd Phil Lewis 14 points; 3rd Kevin Lloyd 14 points.

 

Entries are now being invited for the May Monthly Medal on May 22.
