The sun shone bright and warm as St Giles Golf Club captain, Johnny Breeze, hosted his charity club day to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Club members turned out in droves to support the competition which was held as a two-man Texas Scramble. Club Champion Alan Williams and his partner Johnny Smout took the honours with a scorching round of 59.4.

The runners-up was the pairing of Martin Stephens and Gareth Williams with 62.8, whilst third place was taken by Richard Blaney and John Pulfer.

This Saturday is the J.T. Hughes (Honda) April Medal with tee-off times at 9am and 1pm.
