Newtown players star for Wales

Three Newtown players played a big role in their respective Wales teams at the European Championships held in Bridlington.

Newtown League stars Drew Hughes (U21), Jake Bayliss (U18) and Connor Davies (U16) all performed admirable against the best young players in Europe.

Connor's Under 16 team enjoyed the most Welsh success by beating old enemies England in the final to lift the crown with Connor recording the second best stats of the tournament, losing just two frames.

With the Under 16s claiming the European title, that feat was matched by Drew’s Under 21 side, which beat Scotland to claim their European crown yet again.

Jake got to the final too with his Under 18s team, but missed out to Scotland.
