Roberts makes Wales C squad

Newtown full back Callum Roberts has been named in the Wales C team that will meet England later this month.

The former Shrewsbury Town ace has been in fine form for The Robins this season and is named in a 21-man squad that includes former Caersws and Welshpool Town midfielder Chris Venables, who plays with Bala Town.

Roberts is the son of former Newtown favourite Mark Roberts and will join up with the squad, made up entirely of JD Welsh Premier club players, ahead of the match on March 19 at Salford City.
