Big field tackles Winter League

The first signs of spring brought out the St Giles golfers in large numbers for the sixth round of the Winter League.

Not being phased by the large field, it was the smallest of entrants that landed the top spot. Junior Captain, Isaac Jones, carded an excellent 39 points to take a one-shot victory from past Captain Steve Peter who had to settle for second place with 38 points.

Three players were tied on 37 points, but after a card playoff it was the 2019 Captain, Johnny Breeze, who claimed third.

This Saturday, the J.T. Hughes (Honda) February Stablefordwill tee off at 9am and 12.30pm, whilst the seventh round of the Winter League takes place at 9.30am on Sunday.
