Newtown Manager Andy Cale plans to sign off the 2010/11 Welsh Premier League seaon with a win at Airbus today. Newtown
Cale is putting the fact that the Robins no longer have to worry about relegation issues to the back of his mind and calling on his players to produce the goods on the club's final game of the season.
With Airbus certain of a place in the play-offs there is nothing at stake other than pride today as Darren Ryan faces his old club for the second time in a month in his new role at Airbus.
But Cale wants to see the season out in style. "I'll be telling the players to forget about all the publicity aurrounding the promotion and relegation issues," he said.
"We have shown this season that we are capable of competing in the Welsh Premier League on one of the lowest budgets and it would be great to sign off in style.
"We have all seen the effect the splitting of the league has had on results and it has proved very interesting to see how it has worked out. We have only lost once in our last five outings yet remain third from bottom, that's how tight it has been.
"But today it's all about players going out and showing how good they really are."
