Local derby kicks off weekend

15/02/2019 @ 10:47

A MMP Mid Wales League Cup quarter-final derby will kick off the weekend action tonight.

Berriew will welcome Welshpool Town under the Friday night lights, but the tie of the round will see neighbours Caersws and Llanidloes square off tomorrow.

Division Two leaders Montgomery Town welcome Carno while Aberaeron and Builth Wells complete the Cup’s last eight.

Meanwhile, Newtown entertain Caernarfon Town looking to kick start their Phase Two in the JD Welsh Premier after starting with two defeats.

Both Guilsfield and Llanrhaeadr are at home in the Huws Gray Alliance, while Llanfair will look to capitalise on their title rivals being in Cup action when they take on Kerry in the MMP Division One.

Forden United can close the gap on Montgomeryshire League leaders, Guilsfield Reserves, who are not in action, when they host Llanfair Reserves.
