Berriew reached the semi final of the Spar League Cup last night, but their bid for the double will go right to the wire after Llanrhaeadr closed the gap at the top to seven points with four games in hand.
Berriew eased past a fading Llanidloes 3-0 but across Montgomeryshire, Llanrhaeadr inflicted the first defeat in 12 league games on Carno after winning 3-1. Llansantffraid Village chalked up a 3-0 win over Dyffryn Banw.
In Division Two, the big derby between Kerry and Abermule ended with a goal apiece while Four Crosses beat Llanfyllin 5-4 with goals from Jack Harris (2), Daz Jones (2) and Stu Bebb.
