FAW to present Strategic Plan

28/04/2011 @ 07:05

The Football Association Of Wales will present its Strategic Plan for the next decade at Newtown Football Club's Latham Park on May 9.
"The FAW has developed a Strategic Plan with the purpose of moving Welsh football forward over the next decade," said FAW Development Officer Tim Broome.  "As an Association, we are seeking the views and thoughts of our members, those who play football and the public in general.
"To achieve this, the FAW will host a roadshow in each of the six area associations giving everyone the opportunity to see the current details of the plan and to raise any questions or queries.
"This is your opportunity to attend a roadshow in your area to hear the details of the plan, provide input or comments and to raise any questions you have."
The event is open to the association’s member clubs and leagues, the members of the area associations, players(senior or junior) and anyone with an interest in Welsh football
"A strategic plan cannot be written in isolation and it is essential that we consult with all stakeholders across the entire country," said Mr Broome.  "We also need to ensure that what we are proposing is both understandable and finalised in collaboration with our stakeholders because this will be the operating manual for our association for the years ahead."
The roadshow will be hosted by Ian Gwyn Hughes, Head of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement.  Jonathan Ford, Chief Executive, will outline the current thinking and alongside Ian, will take questions from the audience in relation to the Strategic Plan.
Doors will open at 7 pm with the main presentation starting around 7.30 p.m.
