Local football clubs face a weekend of league action as the season head into the Festive period with all to play for.
Newtown will be hoping to bounce back from Welsh Cup disappointment last week at home to Llandudno, knowing victory will bolster their top six push in the Welsh Premier.
Guilsfield were praised in Welsh Cup defeat to the Welsh Premier’s top side Connah’s Quay Nomads last weekend, and will travel to Prestatyn keen to build on their recent Huws Gray Alliance form, while Llanrhaeadr host title chasing Porthmadog.
Berriew have threw their name into the MMP Mid Wales League title hat by beating Llanidloes last week, and they will be hoping to maintain their momentum at Tywyn Bryncrug. Welshpool Town kick off proceedings tonight at home to Radnor Valley.
The second division is turning into an intriguing promotion battle, with some big matches again on Saturday.
Amateur League heavyweights Guilsfield Reserves and Forden are both at home, while Bishop’s Castle play the weekend’s only cup game.
