Llanidloes Town have halted the Caersws title charge in its tracks by inflicting their first MMP Mid Wales League defeat of the season.
It was a day to forget for Paul Grant who netted an own goal before being shown a straight red for a professional foul, before George Clarke added a Daffs’ second just before half time.
It was a day to celebrate for fans of Guilsfield and Llanrhaeadr who both picked up wins on the road in the Huws Gray Alliance. Guilsfield’s 4-3 win at Denbigh and Llanrhaeadr’s 2-1 win at Ruthin saw them lift into mid-table comfort.
In the Central Wales Cup, Abermule booked a second round spot, and Trewern claimed the scalp of Mid Wales League side Waterloo Rovers.
