Robins lose -,Caersws hit 9

A first minute goal shook Newtown in tonight’s game against highly rated Connah’s Quay Nomads tonight.

The Nomads have an eye on the Welsh Premier League title this season and a first minute strike from James Owen separated the sides at the break.

Newtown were always in the game until Ryan Wignall bagged a second on 70 minutes and Callum Morris scored on 87 minutes. Luke Boundfird bagged a last minute consolation goal  to send the Robins home pointless from a 3-1 defeat.

Caersws took 38 minutes to break down Brecon Northcote in the Spa Mid Wales League but then went goal crazy to light up the Recreation Ground with a 9-0 win.
