Two late signings for Robins

Newtown managed to add two new faces to their squad before the transfer deadline last week.

Chris Hughes conducted the majority of his business earlier in the window, but left it late to sign two more new faces.

One is a familiar face in the form of Jamie Reed, who has re-signed for the club after missing the second half of last season with injury.

Reed, who is much travelled in the WPL made 24 appearances for the club last season, scoring eight goals before being hit by a nasty injury.

He returned for pre-season training, and Hughes has added him to his squad for the coming season.

The other new face is former Rotherham United defender Tom Rose.

The 20-year-old has also been training with the Robins, and has joined the Robins after loan spells at various other sides.

He was a young professional with The Millers, and has spent time on loan at Sheffield FC, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Worcester City.
