Ten-man Newtown won a backs-to-the-wall battle to earn their first Welsh Premier League points of the season at Latham Park tonight.
A Joe Kenton goal late in the first half sent the Robins in 1-0 at the break and Caernarfon were swarming all over the home side in search of an equaliser after Craig Williams was sent off for a foul on local lad Jamie Breese.
Caernarfon hit the bar and were denied by a great double save from home keeper Dave Jones before Newtown broke out in added time with Fletcher crossing for Neil Mitchell to complete a 2-0 victory.
