If there is anything the first week’s action in the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League tells us, it is that the big clubs have to be on their guard this season.
Caersws left it late to win 2-1 at Llansantffraid while Welshpool Town were put to the sword in a 4-1 defeat at Llandrindod Wells.
But it is Berriew and Llanidloes Town who set the early pace following two more victories on the road over Carno and Knighton respectively. Kerry left Churchstoke without a point after two matches.
In the second division, Waterloo Rovers were held to another draw at Montgomery Town, while Four Crosses made it two from two by coming back from behind to beat Abermule.
