Butler storms back to become singles knockout champion

Mitch Butler defeated Paul Bordwey five legs to two to become the Newtown Premier League Darts Singles Knockout Champion.

Butler lost the first leg to Bordewey who checked out on 98, but Butler came storming back winning the next four legs in 13,16,17,17 darts respectively Bordewey took the sixth leg 19 darts.

But that was not enough, however, to stop an inform Mitch Butler as he took the title on a 64 checkout.

Earlier in the night, Butler defeated Garry Jones in the semifinals by four legs to one while Bordewey defeated Sean Barnett four legs to nil.

Mitch will now aim to do the double and become the 2018 NPL champion as he currently is odds-on to qualify for the finals.
