Williams takes Woosnam Cup

One of St Giles Golf Club’s most prestigious competitions, the historic Woosnam Cup, produced an exciting climax with two players only separated by a card count-back after 36 holes of play. 

Gareth Williams (16) produced a 139 total with rounds of 71 and 68 to beat Ross Porter (7), who also returned an impressive 139 with rounds of 70 and 69.

In a distant third place was Vince Faelli (11) with rounds of 73 and 72 for a 145 total.

This weekend sees the JT Hughes June Monthly Medal with tee off times of 9am and 1pm.
