Semi-finals take centre stage

With the weather-hit 2017/18 season reaching its dying embers, there’s still plenty to play for with this weekend seeing a couple of semi-finals taking the spotlight.

Tonight (Friday), Amateur League division two champions Forden United can take their minds off trying to become the invincibles by testing themselves against Division One opposition, Guilsfield Reserves.

Victory in midweek saw them take their incredible 100% record into their final league match of the season on Tuesday against Trefonen, but first they will bid for a place in the final of the Llansantffraid Village Cup against a Guilsfield side who will want to make up for their title bid fading at the death.

Tomorrow, Four Crosses and Maesyrhandir meet in the semi-final of the Boys & Boden Ltd League Cup.

Spar One Champions, Llanrhaeadr, play their pen-ultimate game at home to Bow Street, while Carno, Kerry and Montgomery Town are also in action.
