Crunch time for Bluebirds

05/05/2018 @ 08:46

It’s never too late to find that winning habit, and that’s exactly what Caersws will be hoping for today when they host basement side Llandudno Junction in their second-to-last Huws Gray Alliance game.

It’s been a disappointing campaign for the Bluebirds, but victory today will provide a welcome six-point buffer between them and second-to-bottom Queen’s Park who will have two games remaining.

Meanwhile, there’s still plenty of other local football action with Welshpool Town fans keeping an eye on the Llanidloes derby with Carno. A Daffs win will see the battle for second in the Spar Mid Wales League go to the final game of the season.

Waterloo Rovers’ hopes of finishing the season with the Tanners Town Cup under their belts were dashed by Bishop’s Castle last night.

A first half goal from Adam Putson made the difference as Castle now turn their attention to trying to secure a league title.
