Big fine for Robins after brawl

Newtown and Prestatyn have both been hit with big fines and disciplined for a melee at the end of their Welsh Premier fixture at Latham Park in January.

Both clubs were fined £600 (£300 suspended) and £50 costs for the failure of its players to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or fail to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language. 

Newtown were also fined £750 (£350 suspended) and £50 costs for the failure of its technical staff to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion or fail to refrain from violence, threatening, abusive, obscene or provocative behaviour, conduct or language. 

In addition, Newtown manager Chris Hughes was also found guilty an alleged act of violent conduct and /or improper conduct towards an opposition player during the same match and was fined £225 plus £50 costs and will be subject to a four-game touchline suspension from March 5.
