Castle close the gap

Bishop’s Castle took advantage of their main rivals being involved in cup action to close the gap at the top of the Honda Division One.

The border side won 7-0 on the road at Trewern to move within four points of leaders Guilsfield Reserves, but with two games in hand.

Mitsubishi Two leaders Llangedwyn dropped points in a 0-0 draw at improving Trefonen, the first goalless draw in the league since August 2016.

There were Village Cup walkovers for Forden United and Guilsfield Reserves while Four Crosses and Meifod advanced in the Boys & Boden League Cup.
