Wales U17 take on Newtown Academy

There will be an intriguing football match on Sunday, when the Wales U17 girls team take on the Newtown Academy U14 side in a friendly at Latham Park, Newtown.

A number of local players will feature, with Carrie Jones, Libby Isaac and Maria Francis Jones all named, while the Newtown Academy is full of players from the area.

The match will kick off at 1.30pm with free admission.
