Assistant Manager Lee Williams has set Newtown a Welsh Premeier League 15 point survival target ahead of tonight's trip to Aberytsywth.
The Robins set off for a must-not-lose match against their old rivals from the west coast wityh Williams confident they can still avoid the relegation trapdoor despite last Saturday's 1-0 setback at home to Carmarthen.
"Fifteen points from the remaining seven games will be enough to keep us up and I am confident in our ability, he said.
"There was always only one team in it against Carmarthen after they had a man sent off, but they defender deep and caught us with a goal on the break. Just one of those days when nothing would go in for us.
Williams is expecting a very differnt game at Park Avenue tonight. "It will be more entertaining I'm sure," he said.
"Aberystwyth play a much more open game and I expect a good and exciting game tonight.
"The lads have been improving all seasonand will need to leave the disappointment of last Saturday behind if we are to come back with the points."
With no injury worries Williams and his boss Andy Cale will have a full squad to chose from tonight and he has plenty of competition for places in the starting line-up.
