Davies is new Premier League Darts champion

Craig the Nugget Davies has become the 2017 Newtown Premier League champion after defeating a spirited Kacey Jones in the final at the Monty Club.

Davies defeated Garry Jones in a tight semi final by three legs to two.

Jones had defeated Chris Hurds Earleir on in the evening and then Gareth Ashley to reach his first NPL Final. Davies had been one of the most consistant players in the league this year and thoroughly deserved the win.

He was crowned the ninth premier league champion on a night where a magnificent £750 was raised for Macmillan cancer research.
