Oswell earns Robins a point

Jason Oswell’s second half volley earned Newtown a Welsh Premier League Conference Play-Off point on a frustrating afternoon at Latham Park.

Ashley Ruane had volleyed Druids in front in the first half, against the run of play.

The Robins levelled through Oswell early in the second period, but despite pressure on the Druids goal, they couldn’t find a winner, but still top the Conference.

Llanfair are still deep in Huws Gray Alliance League relegation trouble after crashing 4-1 at home to champions Prestatyn while Carno enjoyed a 2-1 Spar Mid Wales League success at Berriew.
