Newtown is best - official!

As Newtown gears up for a motorsporting event a week on Sunday that will see scores of rally cars and thousands of fans pour into the town, its Automobile Club has received some welcome recognition.

 

The Newtown and District Automobile Club (NADAC) has been honoured for putting on the best event in the 2010 Welsh Clubman Forest Rally Championship, which augers well for next weekend.

 

“It was hard earned recognition and one that everybody associated with the event should take great pride in receiving,” said Chris Tomley, who received the award on behalf of the NADAC - Rally Marketing Mid Wales Stages.

 

The award was presented at the Welsh Association of Motor Clubs Annual Dinner held in Llandrindod Wells.
