Defeat keeps Robins bottom

24/09/2016 @ 05:51

Newtown are joint bottom of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League after losing 4-2 at home to Airbus Broughton.

Two first half goals from Ryan Edwards saw Airbus cruise to a half time lead, before Alex Fletcher grabbed his first Robins goal to put his side back in the game.

But the ever impressive Tony Gray made it three, before a piece of brilliance from inform Jason Oswell brought Newtown back in it once more. But Jamie Menagh scored in the last minute of added time to end the game, and leave Newtown joint bottom of the pile.

Caersws led through Sean Evans after just 11 minuted in the Huws Gray Alliance at Caernarfon but former Bluebird Jamie Breese was on target on 77 minutes to deny his old club an away win. Llanfair came back down to earth with a bump, losing 4-0 at home to Holyhead.

In the Spar Mid Wales League Berriew went goal crazy beating Llandrindod Wells 10-0.
