Caersws, Llani in Cup action tonight

16/02/2011 @ 12:20

Talk about winning cups the hard way!

Llanidloes take on Huws Gray Alliance outfit Rhayader tonight (Wednesday) in their postponed fourth round tie but will face another Alliance club, Guilsfield, if they win.

The Spar Division One side host their rivals for a 7.30pm kick off and will be looking to cause an upset to prove they are worthy of a future spot in the league above.

Meanwhile, another fourth round match tonight sees Berriew go to Caersws (7.30pm). The winner of that match will play Penrhyncoch.

“We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against a very good side,” said Berriew manager Neil Pryce: “We need to be at the top of our game and have a bit of luck and then hopefully we can progress.

Christian Webster and Shane Davies are still out so the left wing is still a troublesome position for Pryce.

Elsewhere in the fifth round draw, holders Waterloo Rovers still need to beat Carno to meet Llanrhaeadr or Montgomery in the fifth round. Llansantffraid Village go to Rhosgoch Rangers.
